Noble Energy Inc. next year will build a $45 million plant to refine and distribute liquefied natural gas to its fleet and other companies operating in the area. The company announced its plans late Thursday to build a plant capable of producing 100,000 gallons of the fuel per day, as a part of its ever-increasing investment into Weld County oil and gas exploration, and a way to help reduce its carbon footprint. The plant will be built in conjunction with its planned natural gas processing plant near Keota, a small ghost town in northeast Weld County.
